This workshop is open to parents and professionals
Aim of this workshop
- To build on the knowledge gained in Level 1 and deepen your understanding of Makaton.
- Learn signs and symbols from Stages 3 & 4, and selected additional vocabulary
- Develop skills in signing at sentence level and increase understanding of how symbols support communication.
Entry criteria
Level 1 Makaton Course attendance is required. A participant manual and certificate of attendance will be provided.
The workshops are for families and professionals in Bedford Borough who want to learn Makaton.

Makaton will benefit children who have:
- A short attention span
- Difficulties understanding spoken language
- Difficulties using spoken language to communicate
- A severe speech disorder
Workshop dates
The booking window will close 2 working days before the date of the training.
Please note, if you do not attend the workshop, you may be charged a penalty fee.
