We have made training workshops and courses for parents, carers and professionals. The training will help parents, carers and professionals support children of all ages. These workshops and courses are for people within Bedfordshire and Luton.

We are passionate about upskilling people. We want to help them support all children with their speech, language and communication skills.

Chattertots and little talkers

Our chattertots and little talker workshops are to help you support your child's early communication skills. There will be a focus on helping your child to listen, understand what you are saying and spoken language.

Early language users workshop

A workshop for staff and parents to help create a communication friendly environment for children. The workshop will teach you how to bring communication and interaction skills into different settings. This can be at home or in a education environment.

Helping children with unclear speech workshop

Children learn speech, language and communication skills doing everyday activities. They will be learning at home and at school. Some children can have difficulties saying words. Join our workshop to learn strategies to help your child's speech sounds.

Makaton signing training

Makaton is a way for you and your child to communicate. It is designed to help hearing people with learning or communication difficulties. Makaton uses signs, gestures and pictures with speech, in spoken word order. Find out more about our Makaton taster sessions

Storytelling and narrative skill workshop

Storytelling and understanding narrative is important for children in day-to-day conversations. These skills will help them understand the order of events. They are used when they share news, talk about events or tell stories about their day. These stories can be from their imagination or repeating the events of the day.

For professionals in Bedfordshire Borough and Central Bedfordshire. Become a communication champion and learn how you can help children with the speech, language and communication skill development.

Elklan course

For professionals in Central Bedfordshire and Luton. This is a 11 week virtual training course for professionals working within mainstream schools. This course is part of the communication champion training. It will provide you with the tools and methods to enhance children and young people's learning in the classroom.
