Contact us

You can contact our service Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Welcome to our service

We are paediatricians working in the Bedford and Luton community. We can help your family to best understand your child's medical needs. Together we can reach a conclusion that best describes your child's challenges and strengths to enable your family as well as health, education and social care services to best understand and support your child's needs. We are only able to see children in a clinic setting who meet our referral criteria.

Professionals - referral forms and guidance

We can only accept referrals for children and young people who are registered with a Bedfordshire or Luton GP. Read more about our referral criteria.

We only accept referrals via SystmOne or our referral portal. We do not accept paper or email referrals.

The referral portal is an online referral system for professionals to use who do not have access to SystmOne. If you are a professional with SystmOne access you can continue to use that to refer in to the Community Paediatric Service.

GPs are encouraged to use SystmOne to refer for concerns not related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

  • Where GPs have concerns around ASD, parent, carer or young person should liaise with early years setting or school SENCO. If the young person is over 13 years old, please refer to CAMHS.
  • Where GPs have concerns around ADHD, parent, carer or young person should liaise with the school SENCO.
