Speech, language and communication skills develop throughout the day at home and school. Children will be learning these skills in everyday situations. 

This workshop is to help professionals to learn how to help and support children's speech, language and communication skills.

Aims of this workshop

By the end of this workshop you will:

  • understand the development of speech, language and communication skills
  • understand how and why we communicate
  • understand the components of communication
  • learn some strategies to positively support a child's speech, language and communication needs
  • know where to get more support

Entry criteria

This workshop is for:

  • professionals working with children in early years (ages 1 to 5 years old)

Workshop dates

These workshops are free. The booking window will close 2 working days before the date of the training.
