This workshop is for parents, carers and professionals
A workshop to help parents and professionals recognise and support their child's current level of communication. The workshop will guide you in how to support communication and interaction skills in different settings. This can be at home or in an education environment.
We encourage professionals to attend the same workshop as the parents of the child. This is not essential but can be helpful.

Aim of this workshop
- To develop understanding of the foundations for communication at all ages.
- To support adults in recognising a child’s current level of communication.
- To explore practical strategies for modelling and supporting communication development.
- To promote consistent, responsive communication approaches across settings.
Entry criteria
The workshop is for parents/carers or any adults supporting children and young people who:
- are non-speaking, or are developing intentional communication
- rely on adults to interpret their communication
- may or may not respond consistently to their immediate environment
Workshop dates
The booking window will close 2 working days before the date of the training.
