Chattertots or Little Talkers is a series of workshops for parents and carers. These workshops are to help you support your child's early language skills.

This workshop may be held face-to-face or virtually online. Face-to-face workshops will be held in children centres across Bedfordshire and Luton. 

Aim of this workshop

  • You feel confident helping your child at home with their early language skills

Entry criteria

This workshop is for families who have a child:

  • between 18 months and 3 years old
  • who wants to involve you in their play
  • who may need support for listening, understanding and spoken language

Booking onto a workshop

Chattertots and Little Talkers workshops are hosted in children's centres across Bedfordshire and Luton. These workshops are free.

In Luton referral to Little Talkers must be made by a professional, such as your Health Visitor. Contact them to discuss if the group is suitable for your child.

The importance of play

Some of the skills learned whilst your child is playing will turn into social skills. When you play with your child, you are strengthening your relationship with them and helping them learn social skills.
