This service is for children in care, parents and carers in Bedfordshire and Luton.

You can contact our service Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

We aim to respond to you within 48 hours.

  • Luton - 01582 547653 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Welcome to our service

Children in care

The Children in Care Health team provide the statutory health assessments for children and young people who are in the care of the local authority (also known as County Council, Social Care, Corporate Parent) to support their health and wellbeing.

Professionals - guidance

Our role is to provide the statutory health assessments for Bedfordshire and Luton children in care, and request them for Bedfordshire and Luton children in care placed in other counties.

Referrals are only received from the local authority.

For any support you can contact us or the 0 to 19 Health Visiting and School Nursing service by calling 0300 555 0606.
