Keeping families safe during Summer
Summer is a time for families to enjoy good weather and being outside. Children love playing outside in the summer months; in the garden, on the beach and at playgrounds, parks or attractions. Being aware of some of the risks can help you to keep your family safe while you all enjoy the sun.
Staying safe in the sun
Spending time outdoors is good for children's physical and emotional well-being. However, too much sun can damage the skin and increase the risk of sunburn, dehydration and heat-related illness. With a few simple precautions, children and young people can enjoy being outside safely.
